Looking back, I'd have to say that this piece was an early defining point of my career. This issue of the Art Directors Club's quarterly journal was to be sent to a young demographic (like me!) to promote membership of the Club. It was pro-bono work, so I was left, largely, to do what I wanted. I really enjoyed placing older design elements and idioms into new contexts, and that also seemed appropriate for the function of the piece.
